In 2014 Urbangeoponics launched a community gardening initiative in Duval’s hardest-hit zone of East Jacksonville called Moors Eastside Farm. it turned out to be a huge success!

In February 2016 Urban-GeoPonics was contracted to enhance the cultivation and community engagement of the New Town Success Zone, one of America’s Promised Neighborhoods.

The Sankofa Farmacy engaged hundreds of participants in less than two years and received local and national media attention. Recently in 2022 we were recognized for our community outreach efforts with the Hidden Figures Award.



August 2017 New Town, Urban-GeoPonics, Blacksonville, Sol and Moxie Group collaborate for Learn & Earn after-school program. The initiative was centered around STEM & Agriculture training for children and adults who reside in the immediate neighborhood. Thanks to our donors each child was paid $100 per month!
